Case Details

60-year patient with white mass growing on left eye. Dr. Shalin S. Shah, our Occuloplasty and Eye-cancer surgeon examined the patient. A biopsy of the lesion showed Squamous cell carcinoma of cornea, a very rare cancer of the eyes.
As this was stage 1 of cancer, the patient was given chemotherapy by Eye Drops at RNC Hospital. After 3 cycles of chemotherapy, Dr. Shalin Shah performed surgery for complete removal of the tumor with reconstruction.
All the treatment expenses were covered by RNC Hospital with no expenses for the patient. The patient is now cancer free, with good eyesight, as of January 2025.
